In this episode, I am going to touch on a pretty dark topic – suicidal thoughts after a breakup. I urge everyone to find someone to talk to at anytime in your life when you are going through a rough patch like a breakup. It is a great idea to let a trusted family member or friend know how you are feeling because they may have no idea you are even going through this, but could be a good support system to you. This is nothing to be embarrassed about – you are not weak – you are human. There are 24 hour crisis centers that you can call: In the United States, The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In Canada, look online at suicideprevention.ca. There is also help available through doctors, psychologists, and there are a ton of personal development books and resources online that can help change your mindset for the better and give you hope for the future. I’m here for you too, of course! -Trina
